Dirk Rossmann GmbH, commonly known as Rossmann, was founded in 1972 by Dirk Rossmann in Hanover, Germany. It was the first self-service drugstore in Germany. From these humble beginnings, Rossmann grew rapidly and established itself as one of the largest players in the European drugstore industry. Today, Rossmann is the second-largest drugstore chain in Europe, operating more than 4,000 stores in six countries, including Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Albania and Spain. The company employs more than 56,000 people and generates annual sales of several billion euros. The chain is particularly known for its private brands, environmentally friendly initiatives and wide range of products.
